About Us

In 2014 we released 'Breathe With Me' a song about living with cystic fibrosis - Breathe with me

The lyrics of the song ask the general public to think about having to struggle for the breath that most people take for granted.  We used the song to reach out to people who knew little or nothing about cystic fibrosis.

The song was played at a number of music festivals, annaJo performed it live at the Vintage Tea Party organised by the Portsmouth & IOW Branch of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in their 50th anniversary year.  She also performed the song at the Crawley Festival.

The video for the song reached the semi-final round in the UK Songwriting Contest in 2014.  It made the semi-final in both 'Best Video' and 'Best lyrics' categories.

In October 2014 cystic fibrosis and the Strawfie Challenge were mentioned in Channel 5's coverage of the Great South Run. See link: https://youtu.be/_VUxnhN8GJQ

The Breathe With Me video was played on the Big Screen in Guildhall Square, Portsmouth for a number of months - being played once every hour all day!  We were extremely grateful for this amazing opportunity to spread awareness about cystic fibrosis.

Since then we have used both the song and the 'Breathe With Me' Strawfie Challenge to engage members of the public in the fight against cystic fibrosis in many ways and in many countries - Google #StrawfieChallenge or #respiraconmigoreto to see some of the online posts!
